Urban Decay Revolution lipstick dupes - Part 1

I thought I would find dupes for these lipsticks, as there's not many out there! I've pinned this to my pinterest also. Due to my lazy nature, I could only fit 5, but of course there's more to come. I should have categorised them in shades, but otherwise these are great dupes. I refuse to include Wet n wild lipsticks although they're amazing but it's just impossible to find in the UK. The good things about the lipstick dupes I find is that they're available both in the US and the UK.

Today I'd like to talk about these luxurious lipsticks!

I could see why they were so popular, the packaging is stunning. These lipsticks are heavier than your ordinary lipsticks so they're not something I'd like to take around with me. In this review I'd like to focus on the shades and formulation as the packaging is already 10/10! There is also a light fruity smell to these.
Ultimate Beige, Pink/Rose Asarine and Orange Impertinent

Basic observations: The more you layer the opacity and pigment increases and so does the shine. This differs with certain shades, I found Ultimate beige remaining neutrally pigmented whilst the other two were almost neon.

Ultimate beige: This is my go to lipstick on most days, Kind of like a back up when I can't decide what to wear.
Shade description -This is a perfect pinky brown for my skintone! Slightly mauvish if I must say. In the lipstick bullet it looks a lot darker than what it actually is.

Ultimate Beige 03

Pink/Rose Asarine: The reason why I've included both the English and the French name is that most people know it as the French version "Rose Asarine".
I would say this as almost neon It's so bold and so vivid,  I can guarantee you this is 100% opaque and is what I'm after in most lipsticks.
Shade description - I'd describe this as a reddish pink, The more you layer the lipstick the opacity increases which shows up as a bold pink. This bold pink has cool undertones which help it stand out so much more. Unfortunately my photo does not do justice.
Pink or Rose Asarine 34
Orange Impertinent: Similarly to Pink Asarine, this is also almost neon if layered. This is the rouge volupte shine so it's a lot more shinier than the other two.
Shade description - A lovely coral shade, perfect for spring or summer!
Orange Impertinent 16
Formulation: Of course by now you could tell these are creamy lipsticks. They glide on like butter which is amazing! However these are incredibly shiny, almost like a gloss, the shine does come off eventually but can be frustrating to manage especially if your hair sticks to it.

Longevity of these I'd say around 3 hours without lip liner.
These retail around £25, which is quite a hefty price tag. I look forward to duping these shades, I would definitely repurchase Ultimate beige as It's a perfect every day neutral colour, with a perfect brown to pink ratio - for me.

I have so many dupes/comparisons to share but this is my first, I started off with my all time favourite neutral brown pink lipsticks. And these do qualify for the 90's/Kylie Jenner lip look.

I absolutely love putting together these visuals, though they're time consuming they're so fun to do!

Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express mascara

Claims:
"Get Explosive Volume in Rocket Time!
8X Bigger, smoother and more even.
Now, the most explosive, beautiful lashes ever! Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara’s patented Supersonic Brush with micro bristles loads on big, sleek volume instantly.
Zero clumps!"
Retailed at £7.99 the mascara has 9.6ml of product. Which is not so much an issue for me as I don't wear mascara on a daily basis. It comes in a bulky bottle like this. I purchased the normal version as waterproof mascaras are never my thing.

The big bulky brush is getting mixed reviews in the world of women. Personally I don't have an issue with it. The special super-sonic brush aids with precision when coating your lashes. The micro bristles do load on quite a lot of product. Others have complained it is water but it's not. Just make sure you swipe it out of the bottle 1-3 times to get rid of the excess mascara. Furthermore I have not witnessed a single clump.

Now the actual formulation is very drying. So you gotta work fast! I guess this is the reason why a lot of people have been disapproving it. Furthermore rather than wriggling the wand through your lashes it's best to do it the traditional "Rocket" Method. Some mascaras work better when wriggling but this one will give you clumps..

I love how this mascara lengthens my lashes. But to be honest my standards are high for all mascara ever since I've used the falsies so it's expected to lengthen. In terms of volume not so much, I prefer L'oreal Mascaras (Review to come) when it comes to volume and Maybelline when it comes to lengthening.

Correct that under-eye!

I have the world's most sunken under eye. Paired with hereditary dark circles! I mean it's not too bad but they're always there! Take a look for yourself!

I cannot use a normal concealer alone as they all turn out to make my under eye look ashy/grey. I've spent so much on concealers when really all I needed was something Orange. As you may have already heard, correctors are the next big thing. They counteract and neutralise most types of pigmentation on your skin.

Those who have redness on their face can use a green corrector. This will counteract the pigmentation. Similarly if you use a orange/peach corrector you can counter act the blueish, purple dark circles. If you have an olive complexion it is best to use an orange corrector If you have a light- medium tone complexion it is best to use a light pink/salmon/peachy tone corrector. What I use is Loreal Studio secrets anti-dull skin primer in medium

You can use anything! A cream orange blush, an orange lipstick it doesn't have to be an expensive product. e.g Nyx orange corrector, Maybelline colour sensational vivid colour in electric orange, Now there's many ways of using this. You just need to customise it into your routine.

 1) Apply your corrector, pat it in until your under eye is neutralised, Then go in with your concealer and finally set it out with your setting powder.

OR

2) Apply your corrector, apply your foundation all over your face and watch how your corrector blends in! Finally set it with your powder.
Either way you will have a bright under eye!
